The Ford GT LM Edition is a special edition model that celebrates Ford’s 1966 and 2016 podium finishes at the 24 Hours of Le Mans. This car is inspired by the 2016 winning car with its choice of color schemes. The GT LM is powered by a 3.5-liter twin-turbo EcoBoost V-6 engine producing 660 hp and 550 lb-ft of torque. It also features a titanium dual-exhaust system with a cyclonic design inside the exhaust tips.
The exterior of the GT LM is covered in Liquid Silver paint, with the choice of red- or blue-tinted exposed-weave carbon fiber aerodynamic pieces. The interior gets a unique asymmetrical treatment that matches the red or blue color choice of the exterior elements.
Only 20 units of the 2022 Ford GT LM Edition will be made, making it not only the final run of the Ford GT but also a highly collectible model. The crankshaft of the 2016 third-place-finishing GT, car no. 69 driven by Ryan Briscoe, Scott Dixon, and Richard Westbrook, will be incorporated into each GT LM.
This final special edition marks the end of an era for Ford’s supercar, honoring its successes in endurance racing. It’s truly a fitting tribute to Ford’s Le Mans-winning heritage.
